How much do follower counts matter? It varies by platform.

We get questions from clients all the time about followers. How many followers should I have? Or which platform is the best for me to get followers? Or – most recently – is 100,000 followers on TikTok the same as 100,000 followers on Instagram?   

Followers are not secret ingredients to success – you can’t sub 1 tablespoon of TikTok for 3 teaspoons of Instagram and still get your cookies sold. Followers are actual human beings who you are trying to connect with. Unless you buy bots, but that’s a whole other post, [p.s. Please do NOT do that].
